As one of New Zealand’s top holiday destinations, getting to Rotorua is easy. You can read more about Rotorua travel on our webpage dedicated to how to get to Rotorua and travel options.   Many tourists from overseas use buses to travel New Zealand, and it’s a great way to take in all the scenery safely.  The two main bus services are “Naked Bus” and “Intercity” For this blog, we want to let you know what the crew at Intercity have been up to and why it matters.

For those who like to travel in a bit of style, the new  InterCity GOLD buses offer a limited number of soft leather reclining chairs. These new seats provide plenty of room to stretch your legs. While there is plenty of stunning landscape to admire while travelling by bus in NZ, for those who prefer to read, play games to connect with others, there is nothing worse than running out of battery life for your hand held device.  Intercity now has individual USB charging ports and free WiFi for you to use while travelling in style – plug in your USB, log on to the WiFi, and watch the world glide by

The new InterCity GOLD service is now available for an additional charge (from $12) on their overnight services between Auckland and Wellington*. There is a 7.30pm bus from Auckland to Rotorua on  Friday nights that will have you in town ready to dance the night away with friends!
