What’s been happening at Palm Court?Palm Court Rotorua Motel is on Facebook

We are now on facebook Have a look and let us know if you like.

We have launched this new website and want to know what you think about it.

We have had the Motel completely painted from top down. There is still a little painting left to do in the courtyards and we plan to paint some in December and complete the rest by April 2013.

We have started replacing the kitchen and bathroom benches with granite. With the new cupboard doors this has made a huge difference to the look of the rooms already completed.

We are replacing most of the queen beds with super kings (able to be split into two singles). This is enabling more options for catering to groups and teams and also to families wanting the kids in the bedroom rather than in the lounge of our 1 bedroom units.

What’s been happening in Rotorua?

Canopy tours has made a very successful start with their operation. Both educational and adventurous this has added something special to the Rotorua mix.

Skyline have launched a wine tasting area to their operation. Grapes are imported from various parts of New Zealand and the wine is made in Rotorua. We were at the launch of this new iniatative (Dec 4th) and had the pleasure of tasting a wine or two. With the wine tasting Skyline have also launched a revamped food shop and I must say this is impressive.

We have two new round-a-bouts on Fenton with a third planned for next year. These have been made with the intention of slowing traffic down. Be careful when next in Rotorua as the round-a-bouts force traffic into one lane. Road works continue along Lakes Road, the first entranceway into the City from Auckland. These road works will continue through 2013.

Mitre 10 Mega has come to Rotorua and opened the doors this month. Try out the Columbus coffee in the store.

The Central Mall is still growing and this is where you will find the Westpac and BNZ banks.

Best wishes from us all at Palm Court Motor Inn for a relaxing Xmas break.
