Aswell as having a new seal along Fenton Street, Tutanakai Street, known as Eat Street, has been fitted with a structure covering the Street enabling dining in the street to take place all year round. A new thermal bore is supplying radiators to keep everyone comfortable.
There is a new shopping complex “Redwoods” at the corner of Tarawera Road and Te Ngae Road. Mitre 10 Mega and Hunting and Fishing are now established in a new area along Amohau Street near to Boys High School.
At ASURE Palm Court we are fitting new bench tops to the kitchens and bathrooms as time permits. We are more than 50% of the way through this exercise and the tops look good. We have put the TV’s on shelves as the swivel brackets they were on did not perform.
Looking ahead we have the Rotorua to Taupo 100 kilometer cycle flyer on the 5th of April, Easter and the school holidays beginning on the 18th April, and the 50th Rotorua marathon on the 3rd of May.
Toni and I take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you for staying with us during the past 12 months and we wish you all the very best through 2014. No doubt the Election will give us all some interest before sliding into next summer!
